Feeding the homeless – Spreading God’s love

The city of San Diego has over 10,000 homeless people. Many of them are veterans.

One of several  downtown ministries, Deliverance brings more than 300 meals to the homeless in downtown San Diego each Friday evening.

If we can open a dialogue with one person, and impact their life, our mission will be a success.

They were hungry and thirsty, and their lives ebbed away. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He led them by a straight way to a city where they could settle. Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.

Psalm 107:5-10

How can you help?

The core of our ministry is reaching out and blessing those less fortunate with the gift of a wonderful meal. Join us Friday evenings!

Our ministry is constantly in need of materials, food, and money to make it all happen. Every bit helps!

One of the largest challenges is making food each week. It can be soup, sandwiches, or cookies. We can provide easy to follow recipes!

We seek favor with the community at large, local businesses, and the people on the street. Pray for us each Friday as we go out on the streets. Pray also for those afflicted with homelessness.
